Roasted chicken was sooo good! Stuffed zucchini blooms are always a welcomed treat when in season. And you can't go wrong with any of their pizza and pasta. Lombardi (cocktail) is refreshing on a hot summer night. And the best rainbow cookies I've had. Thanks for a great dinner!
Nice spot to grab brunch at with friends over the weekend. Food was good - although we all thought the kale Caesar was too salty
My friend and I snagged a last minute reservation here last Friday. I'm so glad that we did! We had to wait a bit to be seated, but they were great about transferring our bar tab to our table once we were seated. I loved the Milano cocktail! Not too sweet and full of flavor To start, we shared the crudo, per our server's recommendation. It was delicious! So tender, light, and flavorful. I went with the cacio e pepe for my entree and it was classic and delicious! The pasta was perfectly al dente and the sauce had that intense peppery flavor you need in a good cacio e pepe. For the area and quality of the food, I found it to be very well priced. I would definitely come back here! I want to try the pizzas next time!
Underrated buzzy Italian spot. Perfect for date night or a catch-up with friends. I was incredibly pleased with the chicken milanese. First off, it comes with not one but two massive pieces of chicken with perfect portions of cheese and tomato sauce. For $25, you're getting incredibly high quality food. Next up, I enjoyed chitarra lobster pasta, the pizzas, and the 50/50 focaccia. If you're getting pizza, ask for honey on the side that you can drizzle on top -- in my opinion, this is an underrated move that immediately adds another layer of tastiness to a dish. I wasn't a huge fan of the roasted cauliflower side (kind of boring) or the flourless torte cake (dry and lacked flavor, wished it was more rich and moist). Service here is accommodating and warm as well. Pop music surrounds the diners in a chic, rustic dining room, but not to the point where it's too loud and you must shout over the food (which I deeply dislike). Generally, I'd recommend going to Vic's with a group since you'll be able to try several dishes and go family-style on all of them.
On a great street on lower east side. Great space, atmosphere which I found comfortable and casual for a Saturday lunch. We had a table for 6 and were greeted by a friendly waitress. Three of us had the kale Caesar salad, others had chicken Milanese (looked delicious), frittata, and a shashuka. Mimosas and bloody Mary's for brunch. The service was attentive...Dropped a fork and someone was there to replace it and Water glass was always full. Menu had lots of choices. I'd go back!!
We came to brunch over the weekend. Service: service was great. Fast and friendly. The rest of the party was about 30 minutes late but they were very understanding and didn't mind that I sat at the table and waited. Ambiance: the restaurant is so pretty. Natural boho chic. They also had a lot of natural light which made brunch feel like an outdoor event but we could still be warm. Food: we got the arancini and focaccia bread as starters. The bread was delicious and perfectly soft. I also loved that there were 2 halves that had different flavors. The arancini didn't really stand out but it was fine. I got the vodka pizza as my main course. It was very saucy but delicious. The vodka sauce was flavorful and well seasoned.
I loved this restaurant. The setting is perfect for a nice dinner with friends/family, the food and drinks were delicious, and the staff was so friendly. We were seated in the back of the restaurant where we could see them making pizzas and cooking them in a brick oven which was cool to see. I got the cacio e pepe which was one of the best cacio e pepe's I've had. The cheese was so creamy and had the perfect sauce to pasta ratio. There was a bit too much oil at the bottom of the dish, but overall, everything else about this dish was perfect and delicious. We also got a side of Brussels sprouts which were decent, but nothing special. I probably would choose to try a different appetizer next time I come here.
Food, service, and ambience were on point at this affordable Italian restaurant. My party started with the arancini and meatballs, which were both incredibly flavorful. The arancini were oblong instead of globes, and there were only two, so keep that in mind if you're a party of three or more. They're completely worth ordering though--incredibly juicy on the inside and crispy on the outside. The meatballs melted in the mouth, and the tomato sauce was bright with perfect acidity. For my entree, I ordered the campanelle with pork bolognese. It was a great portion, but the sauce was a little lacking for me, considering bolognese should be heartier than your average spaghetti sauce. My dining companions had the mushroom pizza and ravioli, and both said they were really good. I definitely wanted to steal one of my boyfriend's ravioli. They looked so plump and delicious! For dessert, the tiramisu was some of the best I've ever had, while the brioche with cream was underwhelming. Cocktails were solid. I had a Prosecco spritz, which I'd definitely order again.
Great vibes all around! Service was lovely, food was spectacular, ambience was great. I ordered the ravioli and thought it was so freakin good. Could've used another 2 or 3 raviolis because I'm a hungry girl BUT the prices are very reasonable so it all evens out. The chicken Milanese blew me AWAY. Holy crap that was yummy. But the star of the entire experience was definitely the 50/50 focaccia. Such a great idea. Loved the garlic side and loved the marinara side. Our server was so nice and he really made the experience even more elevated. The 2 things I could've gone without: 1. The rainbow cookies, they were meh. Nothing to write home about 2. The Arancini, they were good! But nothing crazy and pretty small. All in all I would love to go back here and try more things. I had an excellent experience and thought the price, service and food were all pretty epic.
